A carpet texture created by shearing either level loop or high-low loop carpet lightly so that only the higher loops are sheared. The sheared areas are less reflective than the unsheared loops which appear brighter and lighter in colour. Random shearing of high-low loop carpet produces a texture somewhat similar to cut and loop.
