A length of carpet, roll goods usually approximately 100 feet long. Also called a shipping roll by carpet manufacturers. Shipping roll standards vary and may be as short as 30 feet depending upon carpet thickness and manufacturers’ quality criteria. In the United States almost all roll goods are twelve or fifteen feet wide, with twelve-foot predominant.
