Synthetic yarns composed of a multiplicity of continuous fibrous strands extruded together, usually from the multiple holes of a single spinneret. Multifilament carpet yarns are texturized to increase bulk and cover, and are called “bulked continuous filament” yarns or simply BCF yarns.
